Car Video Check zeigt dir per Banner an, ob das per CarPlay verbundene Auto dem iPhone meldet, dass es die Funktion „Videos im Stand abspielen“ von iOS 27 unterstützt. Die App zeigt an, was das Auto dem iPhone meldet – sie prüft nicht selbst die Technik des Fahrzeugs.

So funktioniert es

iPhone mit iOS 27 per CarPlay mit dem Auto verbinden (Kabel oder kabellos).
Car Video Check öffnen – das Banner zeigt das Ergebnis.
Das letzte Ergebnis bleibt mit Datum auf dem iPhone gespeichert.

Häufige Fragen

Die App erscheint nicht auf dem CarPlay-Bildschirm. Was heißt das?

CarPlay zeigt Video-Apps nur in Autos an, die das Abspielen von Videos unterstützen. Erscheint Car Video Check nicht in CarPlay, meldet dein Auto diese Unterstützung in der Regel nicht. Die Anzeige auf dem iPhone funktioniert trotzdem.

Mein Auto wird als „nicht unterstützt“ angezeigt. Kann ich das ändern?

Ob Videos über CarPlay möglich sind, legt der Fahrzeughersteller fest. Er muss die Funktion für das Fahrzeug bzw. dessen Infotainment-System freischalten – teils erst mit einem Software-Update. Frag im Zweifel beim Hersteller oder in deiner Werkstatt nach. Die App selbst kann die Funktion nicht freischalten.

Kann ich Videos während der Fahrt schauen?

Nein. Die Funktion ist nur für das Abspielen im Stand gedacht. Bitte schau während der Fahrt keine Videos.

Welche iOS-Version brauche ich?

iOS 27 oder neuer. Die Funktion „Videos im Stand abspielen“ gibt es erst ab iOS 27.

Wie zuverlässig ist das Ergebnis?

Die App gibt wieder, was das Auto dem iPhone über CarPlay meldet. Ob die Wiedergabe im Einzelfall tatsächlich funktioniert, hängt vom Fahrzeug, dessen Software und iOS ab. Eine Gewähr für die Richtigkeit des Ergebnisses kann ich deshalb nicht übernehmen.

Support for the iOS app

Car Video Check shows a banner telling you whether the car connected via CarPlay reports to the iPhone that it supports the iOS 27 feature for playing videos while parked. The app shows what the car reports to the iPhone – it does not test the car's hardware itself.

How it works

Connect your iPhone running iOS 27 to your car via CarPlay (wired or wireless).
Open Car Video Check – the banner shows the result.
The last result is kept on your iPhone together with its date.

FAQ

The app does not appear on the CarPlay screen. What does that mean?

CarPlay only shows video apps in cars that support video playback. If Car Video Check does not appear in CarPlay, your car usually does not report this support. The result on your iPhone still works.

My car is shown as “not supported”. Can I change that?

Whether videos are possible via CarPlay is up to the car manufacturer. The manufacturer has to enable the feature for the vehicle or its infotainment system – sometimes only with a software update. If in doubt, ask the manufacturer or your dealer. The app itself cannot enable the feature.

Can I watch videos while driving?

No. The feature is intended for playback while parked only. Please do not watch videos while driving.

Which iOS version do I need?

iOS 27 or later. Playing videos while parked is only available from iOS 27.

How reliable is the result?

The app reflects what the car reports to the iPhone via CarPlay. Whether playback actually works in a given case depends on the car, its software and iOS. I therefore cannot guarantee that the result is accurate.

What data does the app collect?

None. No account, no tracking, no ads, no network connections. Details in the privacy policy.
